Title of Film: Christmas in Guimbalanons: Their Celebrations and Perspectives

Team's Message:
"This short film is about the different perspectives of Guimbalanons of what are Christmas and their way of celebrating it. This film conveys that Christmas is not only meant for the gifts, parties and foods, but the true essence of it is the sharing of love between the members of family and the happiness being felt by everyone during this season. Christmas for them is the season of love, sharing, happiness and celebration together with the jubilation of the birth of Christ. The Guimbalanonsʼ ways of celebration are the same on the typical Filipino culture. On Christmas day, there is the common noche buena shared by the family members. But because of the economic crisis the Philippines is suffering right now, the most important thing is that the family members are together on Christmas. Even though there are just simple foods on the table, it is necessary that the family have something to share in the yuletide season. Thus, Christmas for Guimbalanons is the season of love and bonding coupled with the true essence of it."
