A Christmas Stroll in Town

Title of Film: A Christmas Stroll in Town

Team's Message:
"Our video features two annual events held only during Christmas time. We do this through a virtual stroll of Bontoc where the two activities are held. The lantern-making contest is an anticipated competition for the youth when the Yuletide season approaches. It’s an avenue for them to show their creativity and receive cash gifts from sponsoring agencies or groups. It’s also a good way to recycle things and use indigenous materials. For teens and adults, the Department of Tourism and Industry Trade Fair is something they look forward to. Craftsmen and entrepreneurs all over the province are invited to display their wares. If buyers are impressed, the entrepreneurs became suppliers and thus, earn more income. For both young and old shoppers, it’s a way to spend time with friends – appreciation of native products is developed while strolling and milling around the different booths and stalls."
