Team's Message:
"The Disyembre Sa Guimbal is a two-week long pompous and extravagant celebration of Christmas usually starting on the third week of December until New Year. It is a tradition which has been celebrated for twenty-seven years. It is now synonymous to a merry, colorful, large-scale and elaborated rejoicing of the yuletide season. Grandiose presentations and innovations such as lantern parades, drum corps exhibitions, beauty pageants, talent shows, musical and cultural presentations, food festivals and other creative merriment have made the festivity the most colorful in town. The idea of providing entertainment for the people waiting for the midnight mass was conceived by former Congressman Oscar G. Garin, Sr. This series of cultural events was first celebrated by the Guimbalanons on December 24, 1975. It has given Guimbalanons a medium to express joy and gratitude for the birth of the Son of God. It has gained popular support from all sectors ( DepEd Elementary, DepEd Secondary, LGU, NGA-NGO, Private Sectors and other sectors in Guimbal) in the municipality that made it a successful annual celebration.
